Big Brain Tutoring is a collective of passionate, highly qualified tutors who believe that learning should be personalized, engaging, and empowering. Founded by Steven Wendel — a lifelong learner who took an unconventional path through education — Big Brain was built on the idea that traditional classroom models often fail to meet students where they are. Our goal is to change that.
What began with Steven has grown into a diverse, dynamic team of tutors, each with their own academic specialties and unique teaching styles.
Every tutor on our team is not only academically accomplished but also experienced in helping students grow, from middle school to college level. Whether it's SAT prep, AP courses, or building core skills, we pair students with the right tutor for their goals, pace, and personality.
We take a hands-on approach to every student relationship, thoughtfully matching each learner with a tutor whose expertise and teaching style best align with their needs and goals.
