Sardar Singh
Math, English Tutor
-
As a consequence of my expertise in philosophy and mathematics, I'm able to tutor students in a myriad of subjects including various subjects in the natural and social sciences, the humanities, and some arts. I attribute such breadth to my ability to effectively read different kinds of texts - from texts that are laden with specialized language to literary texts that utilize upon rarefied vocabulary words and phrases - I can comprehend them all. I particularly wish to pass on this ability to students.
-
English; Lit; Philosophy; Math; Physics; Econometrics; Economics; Stat; SAT/ACT/GRE both side.

I did undergraduate work in economics, philosophy, and mathematics at Hunter College. I am currently working on a graduate degree in applied mathematics from the same institution. Over and above the coursework of Hunter College, I've also participated in graduate research seminars in nineteenth century philosophy and effective altruism at New York University.
“I can’t help but get all fired up when I’m talking about things - but students seem to really enjoy that!”
Liz Black
English Tutor
-
From an early age, I was immersed in the humanities due to my unique experience with learning languages, and I assumed I would remain in English, philosophy, and social studies for life, even into my first year of college. Despite my success in those areas, my logical mind, strong deductive reasoning, problem-solving skills, and fast learning ability were better suited for the sciences. About a year ago, I discovered my true passion when I tried coding for the first time, quickly teaching myself Python, JavaScript, Django, Java, and HTML/CSS, and now working to master new frameworks and libraries. While my coding experience on paper is still growing, I know I’m a natural at it and will deliver any project or opportunity perfectly, no matter how much self-study it takes.
-
I tutor English Language Arts, Writing, Reading Comprehension, and SAT English.
-
Computer science and philosophy student at Pace University
